Size: 18 boxes, 20.2 cubic feet Biographical: Sam Bell is a former member of the Florida House of Representatives who represented Volusia County from 1974 to 1988. A graduate of Dartmouth and Duke, Mr. Bell served as majority leader, chairman of the Rules Committee, chairman of the Commerce Committee and twice as chairman of the Appropriations committee. Following his career in public service, Mr. Bell served as president of the Florida Public Health Foundation until it merged with the Florida Institution of Health Innovation. He currently serves as lawyer with Buchanan, Ingersoll, and Rooney but still remains active in health care matters.[1] Summary: This collections consists of eighteen boxes containing eighteen scrapbooks from constituents during Mr. Bell's time in the Florida House of Representatives. These include newspaper clippings, campaign materials, correspondence, as well as certificates awarded.
